26 мая 1960 года посол США в ООН Генри Кэбот Лодж (Henry Cabot Lodge) в ходе заседания Совета безопасности обвинил Советы в том, что они спрятали микрофон внутри деревянной Большой печати , которую всучили американскому посольству в Москве.

The device, a wooden carving of the Great Seal of the United States, was hollow and contained a hidden microphone. It was presented to Lodge by a group of Russians. Assisting Lodge is Richard F. Pedersen, right, a member of the U.S. delegation to the United Nations.
